Only twenty five meters from the ocean, the architect designed Beach House features innovative exterior and interior design with all consideration given to assimilating the building into the land and ocean surrounds. Interaction with the environment is an integral feature of the Beach House, as opposed to ‘hovering’ over it in a pretentious manner.

The Beach House aims to capture the essence of the uniquely New Zealand bach (or beach house) - a celebrated part of New Zealand's culture. A perfect blend of comfort and service provides the warmth and intimacy you would expect in a small private retreat.

Guest accommodation covers the entire third level of the Beach House with three beautifully appointed bedrooms and en-suites. Every room features an irresistible panorama cleverly designed to give privacy to individuals and flexibility for larger groups. Great care has been taken to protect privacy and guests can do as little or as much as required. Individual needs are taken into account and there can be as little or as much contact with the owners as you require.

Each bedroom features a King-size bed and a generous and well appointed en-suite. Bedroom doors open onto the front deck which doubles as a cleverly designed walkway to the gardens and beach. Each room has its own entry and exit to the beach. All bedrooms have been 'future proofed' for the technological age, so if you feel the need to watch television, (we don’t think you will !) plug in your laptop, or communicate with your home or business, full facilities are available. A lounge / library and kitchenette complement the guest area. Reading material relating to the flora and fauna and history of the area will ensure your stay here is as informative as it is relaxing. The guest lounge includes television, stereo (CD), library and dining table. The guest lounge has a 'complimentary stocked' refrigerator and a 'kitchenette' to prepare light snacks and a complimentary bottle of 'bubbles'.

To allow flexibility we have costed dinner at NZ$ 90 per person. A Medal Winning New Zealand wine list is also available, Massage and a Hillside Spa are available.

Walking/ Hiking - the Mahinepua Department of Conservation Reserve is opposite the Beach House and has spectacular views along the marked track. About one hour each way. There are numerous other hikes available in the surrounding districts.

Sightseeing trips by car - discover the magic of Northland at your own pace or let Pukekiwi take you on a guided tour customised to suit your interests.

Kayaking - Take one of our complimentary kayaks and discover the seascape for yourself, or take a guided tour with Northland Sea Kayaking - who will also provide a personal service from our beach.

Launch Charter - Big game fishing, fishing, sightseeing - a large variety of options from $NZ 1,500.00 per day.

Sailing - one day yacht charter on 47ft steel cutter 'Sea Eagle'. Max. 6 people at $NZ 90.00 per person. Exclusive charter available at $NZ 500.00 for the day.

Scuba Dive - the wreck of the Rainbow Warrior and surrounding reefs with Matauri Kat Charters. Pick up and return from our bay.$NZ 110.00 per person one dive $NZ 180.00 per person two dives.All equipment supplied.

Golf - at any of the following nearby courses: Kauri Cliffs - 15 minute drive. Carrington Club - 1 hour drive north. Waitangi Golf Club - 1 hour drive south. Kerikeri Golf Club - 40 minute drive south.

Relaxation Massage - To ease your tension and sore muscles, deeply relaxing.

Neck and Shoulder massage - ease neck and shoulder tension with relaxing massage deep tissue techniques and joint mobalization.

Foot massage - massage, stretching and reflexology treatment for tired feet.

Holistic Pulsing - A deeply relaxing, non intrusive treatment consisting of gentle rocking the body in a specific rhythm to balance the water in the body, stimulate the lymphatic system, improve joint mobility, sooth the nervous system and assist the body's self healing abilities. There is no need to undress for this treatment.

Deep Tissue Massage - deeper massage to reduce "knots" adhesions, scar tissues and old injuries, speeds recovery.

Orthobionomy - A gentle non-manipulative pain-free technique which assists the body's self healing and awareness.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage - A very gentle, relaxing rhythmic massage to stimulate lymph drainage which assists the body's immune and protective functions. Beneficial for post injury edema, sinusitis, PMT skin problems, migraine constipation.
