Villa Details

Are you searching for a luxurious beachfront villa for your upcoming vacation?  Someplace to recharge your mental batteries while soaking in a tropical swimming pool surrounded by views of the ocean and nature?  Maybe to celebrate your birthday or anniversary with family and friends in a private setting?  Or, a beachfront location for the kids with lots to do?   If that is your dream, then Villa 1634 in Costa Rica is your dream come true!

Villa 1634 is located in the Los Delfines Golf and Country Club - a gate guarded, oceanfront community comprised of 134 acres and 6 kilometers of beachfront.  Guests of the villa are also entitled to use the amenities of the community such as the golf course, the Rancho restaurant and bar, the clubhouse, etc..

Villa 1634  is a spacious and luxurious 5 bedroom, stand-alone villa on a half an acre of lawn and gardens with 120 feet of private beachfront access.  Walk off the extensive, ocean view patio, past the beachfront infinity pool and plant your toes in the warm sand lined with palm trees!  Ah, the good life outside the villa…and, there is much to match the good life inside the villa, too!

Entering the villa is through a large foyer decorated in a Tiki motif with chairs and plants lit up by a skylight overhead.   It has views to the ocean and flows into the living area.

Villa 1634 open floor plan features 5 bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms.  All bedrooms are on the first floor, making for easy access.  There are 8 beds in total – 1 king in the Master and 7 queen size beds in the other 4 bedrooms.  The Master Bedroom is oceanfront with views of the surf and direct access to the extensive covered, beachfront patio.  Recommended capacity of the villa is 10 to 12 guests or more, depending on the mix of adults and children, extended family, etc..  Daily maid service, on site concierge assistance, gardening and pool care is provided.  A chef with a weekly meal plan is an available extra.

There are two dining areas.  One is inside next to the ocean view living room and the other adjacent on the beachfront patio outside.  Because of the balmy beach breeze, guests invariably choose dining there! The chef’s kitchen is off to the side, between the two dining areas and it also connects to the large oceanfront living area.  The kitchen also has ocean views.  The two side by side dining areas can be used separately, or arranged together.

Off to the side of the foyer is a television entertainment center room that could also be used for a kids playroom.  The open floor plan of the villa creates a sense of spaciousness with the ocean in view most of the time.

A spiral staircase in the living room leads to a second floor “Sky Room” social area with a refrigerator and mini-bar, with panoramic ocean and beach views.  It leads to an outside, open air Sly Deck with tables and chairs and sunshade umbrellas.  For those who must check into the office or wish to surf the web, there is a computer desk in the Sky Room, situated so that you can see the views below as you work!  High speed internet access is provided throughout the villa by two carriers for redundancy.

There is so much to do or not to do, depending on your level of desired activity!  At Villa 1634,  a  full compliment of pool and beach toys is provided, including 6 boogie boards and numerous inflatables to toss into the breaking surf and ride!  Or, guests can just relax in the oceanfront infinity pool with their favorite smoothie or adult beverage and watch the mesmerizing surf break on the shore and recharge their mental batteries!

Villa 1634 is also within a scarlet macaw wildlife regeneration zone and the colorful birds frequent the almendro trees on the property.  At times, you will see monkeys and iguanas scamper across the grass or in the trees, and occasionally, a Costa Rican deer will cross on the beach!  The property is host to much wildlife!  Also, the villa has a wood burning firepit area next to the beach for nighttime get-togethers.  There are no lights on the beach or in the bay which also makes for great viewing of the stars and milky way!

On the beach in front of the villa, turtles often lay their eggs in the sand and a conservation group at times collects the eggs and 6 weeks later releases the hatchlings to the sea.  A guest favorite is also walking down the beach to the local Tambor airport landing strip that services the area.  The arriving and departing local hop flights pass just over the heads of waiting adults and kids on the beach!

Outside tours at the villa?  A full selection of local tours can be arranged by our concierge.  Some of the providers, like horseback riding tours and half day fishing tours, will pick up guests directly from the beach in front of the villa to start the adventure!  Other tours offered are Tortuga Island for snorkeling, a Montezuma town and waterfall tour, zip lining, bio-luminescence tours at night, ATV tours, a Cabo Blanco National Park tour, etc..

Included in the price is free transportation to and from the local Tambor airport, about a 5 minute ride.  The best way to get here is to fly into the San Jose International Airport and take a local 20 minute hop flight over the Gulf of Nicoya, a breathtakingly beautiful experience.  www.flysansa.com is a scheduled airlines that has many daily flights.  Also, https://costaricagreenair.com/en/ serves the Tambor, TMU, airport with many daily flights.  There are some luggage weight restrictions depending on the cost of the ticket, but remember, you are coming to the beach, and a swimsuit, shorts, a shirt and flip-flops is about all you need!   Guests can also fly into the airport in Liberia, but the connecting local flights are a lot less frequent.  Ground transportation could be arranged from the Liberia airport to Casa Oceano at additional cost.  The trip would be about 4 hours.

For 10 or more people, a charter flight would not be much more.  Sansa Airlines and Green Airways both can arrange charter flights.  Hansel, the concierge, will be there to greet the guests at the Tambor airport, TMU and take them to Villa Amor del Mar in comfortable ground transportation, which is included.  All guests are served welcoming pina coladas and generous snacks upon arrival.  The concierge then gives a tour of the house so the guests can select in which bedroom they wish to stay.

The staff of four includes an English / Spanish speaking concierge, Hansel, which is available at all times, but comes by several times a day to make sure the guests are happy, acts as a translator, presents tours, and will stay there during daylight and evening hours, how much or how little hours with which the guests feel comfortable.  Maid, pool and groundskeeping service is 7 days a week when guests are present.  The maid also will do personal laundry.  The grounds person takes care of the pool, gardens, etc...  Our chefs, Silvia and / or Helen, are available if the meal plan is taken, have been with us for nine years!  We have rave reviews about their dishes, which include a sampling of Costa Rican fare as well as international flavors.  All diet requests for kids favorites, food allergies, vegetarian, vegan, lactose intolerance, etc., are respected.

FOOD PLAN:

The meal plan is $980 per adult per week, ages 12 and up, ($141 per night), and $618 per week ($89 per night), for ages 4 to 11.  1 month to 3 years is free.
The price includes all shopping, food preparation, generous portions, fresh fruit available all the time, afternoon snacks, and of course, clean up!
It is based upon an average, realizing that some people eat a lot and some don't, some people will take tours and some not, some guests will arrive early and want a lunch or leave in the afternoon and want an extra meal, etc.

Guests can inform Hansel, our concierge and general manager, of any food preferences, allergies, vegetarian meals, kids meals, etc..  The menu itself without changes is a mixture of local and international flavors.  After all, part of the fun of vacationing will be to sample Costa Rican cooking, and one dinner is local lobster, another local steak, as well meals kids especially like, pizza, for instance.  Silvia, and / or Helen, our chefs, make the best!  Guests also rave about the Tres Leches – a three milk cake desert!  Breakfast includes beverages like milk, fruit juices, smoothies, but beverages during the day are not included.
