Villa Details
Villa 146 is a three-storey home within the mountainside hamlet of Sorento, Glacis. While clean and straight lines lend the home an uncommonly modern facade for the Seychelles, the house achieves the ultimate balance of a solid concrete structure open to the cooling rhythms of the Indian Ocean breeze.
It is situated on the northwest side of Mahe, the main island of the Seychelles. While it is the largest island, Mahe is only 17 miles long and 3 miles wide. Visitors can follow Coast Road and drive around the island in a day.
The bedrooms and adjacent living room have been positioned on the middle floor of the home. A bench of indigenous kalis du pape welcomes you and is also a natural gathering spot before entering the more introverted central living space. While light plays and shadows move, the middle floor is intended as a place where you may withdraw from the social life of the top floor. Three of the four bedrooms are directly connected to the main living room, where up to eight guests may enjoy the communal wet-bar, television, and laundry. Each bedroom has its own shower, wardrobe, ceiling fan, and air-conditioning unit, they each look towards Granite Mountains descending into the sea.
