This surperb nine bedroom villa, all with ensuite bathrooms, is located 10 minute drive from Lucca. The structure of the villa can be dated back to the year 500, while later additions and the beautiful frescoes reflect the artistic period of the 18th century.

The villa is situated in the charming, picturesque village of Vorno, near Lucca. Set in the lush Tuscan countryside surrounded by olive groves and with panoramic views of Monte Zano to the south and the towers of Lucca and the Alpe Alpuane to the north. Located 10 minutes drive from Lucca, a 30 minute drive from Pisa and approximately one hour from Florence.
All deluxe and most superior rooms have luxury kingsize beds, many can be separated into twin if required. Staff: Your chef, Giancarlo Talerico, is a highly trained expert in Tuscan cuisine. Angharad Parry (Paz) acts as hostess and head-of-house. There are housekeeping and table waiting staff plus a gardener and maintenance staff. Staff have one day off per week but there will be someone on duty during the chef's day off for breakfast service and housekeeping.
The hostess will help you choose and coordinate the huge variety of local excursions and sightseeing - Tuscany is deservedly famous for its culture and centuries of art and history. The wonderful walled city of Lucca lies just six kilometres north of Vorno and houses the incredible Piazza dell'anfiteatro, Piazza Napoleone, Torre Guinigi and great shopping. Florence and Pisa are on your doorstep - Florence with its wealth of art and perhaps the most famous of all statues, Michelangelo's David and Pisa still attracts curious travellers to the Leaning Tower. The fascinating villages of Monticatini, Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra are all within easy distance.
Because of its geographical position, Tuscan cuisine is the most varied in Italy and renowned throughout the world. You can choose from fish dishes deriving from the coast of Tuscany, infinite varieties of pasta dishes through to game and wild boar dishes from the Appenine Mountains. And of course, Tuscany is home to one of the oldest and most famous wines in the world - Chianti.
